Our business of document recovery is a serious one
FORT WORTH, Texas (May 14, 2019) – Our business of document recovery is a serious one.
David Patrician, vice president of our Document Recovery Division, recently became one of the world’s few technicians certified as a “Triple Master” by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). Of the 63,000 active technicians in the world, only 1,729 are active with one Master Level certification. Of those, only 408 have earned all three master level certifications, and one of them is Patrician, based in FIRST ONSITE’s Detroit office. It took him 20 years to gain his Master Restorer in Textile, Water Damage, and Fire and Smoke.
When our clients experience flooding or other disasters, the possible loss of important documents is often a primary concern, following only the safety of employees and customers. We’re one of North America’s leading disaster-recovery companies, and the company offers numerous solutions to the challenges of document recovery. And now our world-class document recovery division has gotten even stronger.
“Clients know exactly what they are getting when they partner with technicians who have these certifications,” he said. “It greatly enhances our reputation and credibility – so much so, that courts will often request specialist testimony from technicians with these kinds of certifications.”
Patrician is married and has three daughters, ages 18, 16 and 14, and the extra work required for those three certifications translated into a sacrifice of time away from his family. Now he hopes to justify that sacrifice by initiating some internal training for others.
“We are proud to have such a dedicated master of his craft among the ranks of our employees,” said Stacy Mazur, chief executive officer. “This is the kind of excellence that we promise to provide to every client on every project.”
