History
After getting its start in St. Louis, Missouri in 1981 as a catastrophe cleaning and restoration company, CATCO quickly became a regional all-star. With a certified team of professionals, CATCO tackled everything from duct cleaning to large-scale clean up, putting countless lives back together in the wake of disaster.

Christopher Asleson
Chris Asleson has been instrumental in the growth of CATCO since he joined the company as head of the construction division more than two decades ago. He developed relationships with reputable subcontractors as well as insurance adjusters while leading his staff to provide excellent service. He moved over to the account management side of the business and expanded the sales efforts in the St. Louis region and beyond. Not afraid to be hands-on, Chris developed a reputation with his clients as a problem solver. His customers know they only need to call Chris to get a project moving quickly and effectively.

Michael Hammack
As the former owner and president of CATCO, Michael Hammack has been involved with restoration & reconstruction efforts at Deering Hospital & Broward County School District after Hurricane Andrew, Marshall Fields in downtown Chicago after the Chicago River flood, and Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical fire in Memphis, Tennessee. He headed the company through large projects: St. Anthony’s of Padua Church fire (St. Louis), Bank of America – 17 locations in Houston, TX after Tropical Storm Allison, Civil Courts building & Ursuline Academy in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, The Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO after a fire, and countless other high-profile projects.
Originally from Missouri, Michael has had direct ties to the restoration industry since the 1980s. He purchased Catastrophe Cleaning and Restoration Company, Inc (dba CATCO) in 1991 and implemented a growth strategy that involved branching out with parallel services as well as an starting an additional branch in Kansas City. As part of a full-service line-up, CATCO has offered duct cleaning, wood refinishing, contents restoration, temporary interior protection services and many types of specialty cleaning to its clients. Michael Hammack will be retiring as General Manager of the St. Louis branch on June 17, 2022.
Locations
CATCO started in St. Louis, Missouri in 1981 and serviced the entire Midwest region. By joining forces with FIRST ONSITE, we are now able to service all of North America.
